Set on a soothing soft pink linen base, the saree features intricate Gajraj (elephant king) motifs painted in classic black Madhubani lines. The elephants are depicted walking gracefully along the border — symbolising strength, wisdom, prosperity and royal dignity in Indian artistic traditions.

Complementing the central elephant motifs are delicate plant forms and geometric patterns, adding rhythm and balance to the design while staying true to traditional Madhubani aesthetics.

The pallu carries extended narrative motifs with elegant hand drawn borders and tassels, enhancing the handcrafted character of the saree.

Each Rangika Studio saree is individually hand painted by Mithila artisans, whose artistic traditions have been passed down through generations in the villages of Bihar.

Using fine brushes and natural rhythm, the artisans paint every motif freehand — without stencils or printing techniques.

The detailed elephant compositions, borders and geometric patterns require approximately 18–22 days of careful artistic work, allowing the design to evolve slowly across the fabric.

In Mithila art, the elephant (Gajraj) represents power, wisdom, abundance and royal grace, making this saree both symbolic and visually striking.
